Wee Wild Woman is back again and we discuss various ups and downs of farm life. What some think of as a negative could be a positive in the right perspective. We are drive around and look at the flooding after 2.63 inches of rain in less than 24 hrs. As always the content may not be suitable for all listeners. She got rather excited at the floodwaters.

Wee Wild Woman is back again for an episode of what typical life is like on the farm. No two days are ever the same. We talk about different chores are like at different times of the year. People ask how do we do it all. Here is your answer. We make things simple and manageable. Put systems in place so that even a 12 year old could run the farm. 

Episode 30 Ideal animals to start with on the homestead

Wee Wild Woman is back for another episode. We talk about what are the ideal homesteading animals (from our experience) to start with. We talk about feeding requirements, health, housing, care, outputs, ease of raising, self replication and more. A bit longer than some of our other episodes. Wee is able to care for all of the animals on our farm and at 12 has a different perspective on each. While a farm hand she can has done just about everything on our farm as far as chores. Episode 29 Wormholes, time travel, and the 5th dimension Oh My!

Wee Wild Woman is back by popular demand. Literally, more people listen when she is on. Apparently I am boring! Today Wee chose the topic because we have had some new learning on different scientific theories. One being White Holes which are essentially opposite of black holes. We had TWO new theories we came up with today. Black holes and where everything goes, and then the 5th dimension and time travel. We have almost formulated a unified theory that links black holes, time travel, alternate space time continuums. I think I may have melted her brain a bit as she just freezes trying to think about it all. She also suggested we may be crazy. ANYWAY we go all over the place as we discuss the various phenomena and TRY to stay on topic. 

Episode 28 Some of the plants we like on the farm

Wee is back today for a 2 hour podcast as we talk about the various plants, trees, and bushes we like having and growing on the farm. Not a total list, but we talk about the plants we like and why we like them. Buying advice, medicinal uses, propagation and more. 

Episode 27 Bringing new animals to your homestead

Just the Fat Man Farmer today. Recently we brought a new bull calf home to the farm. Not new born but 7 months old and new to us. Which made me think it was a good opportunity to talk about bringing home new livestock. What should you do before hand (RESEARCH) and what to have on hand, and what to do when they get here. We cover a variety of species, a couple of digressions, and I didn't even talk about chicks. That was an afterthought. Maybe Wee Wild Woman and I have to discuss it further on a later episode. Maybe this episode pushes us past the 500 download mark. It is a longer one as I recoded going to town and then back for one BIG episode. Enjoy!

Episode 26 Food waste

Be prepared for a full on rant. Just Fat-Man Farmer today but Wee listened to a bit and she was pissed off too. She was a little miffed I didn't include her to be able to rant, and call some people out. ANYWAY I am talking about how much we as a society waste food, waste resources around the food insecurity movement, and how we all can do something about it. Episode 25 The Goat-Alpaca Incident

Recently I was online in one of my barter groups and another admin tagged me for a herding dog that was available as I had said we were casually looking. I said I would have to ask Sr Farm Boss as I was no longer allowed to authorize ANY new animals on the farm (that rule does NOT go both ways). Anyway he wanted the story as to WHY. So, I said I would do a podcast because there is way too much to type out in a messenger chat.  So, Bill and Alison this podcast is for you. 

Episode 24 Permaculture overview

Today we talk about one of my FAVORITE things to talk about. Permaculture. No Wee Wild Woman today, and sorry for the background clicks. I tried to edit it out but didn't have much luck without distorting the audio to the point you can't hear. Episode 23 SOME of the 2023 projects for the year

We decided to do 2 in one day. Episode 22 - 2022 year in review (was not planned) and now looking forward to 2023. As I keep repeatedly saying "next year" and Wee gets frustrated. Wee and I discuss what we would like to accomplish in 2023. Plus some ranting about driving, and "DEER" as we are driving back home.
